Certified LeSS Basics (CLB)
Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) is a framework for scaling agile development to multiple teams. LeSS builds on top of the Scrum principles such as empiricism, cross-functional self-managing teams and provides a framework for applying that at scale. It provides simple structural rules and guidelines on how to adopt Scrum in large product development.
The Certified LeSS Basics course is a brief introduction into the LeSS Framework. It provides a 1-day overview of the framework and some of the essential concepts that it uses. It will help determining whether LeSS is for you. For LeSS adoptions, we’d recommend you follow it up with a LeSS Practitioner course.

After the workshop, the participants will be able to understand that LeSS is multi-team Scrum, understand what is LeSS, what is not LeSS, and the principles behind LeSS, understand how the current organizational design comes in the way of the organization being Agile and evaluate what changes need to be made to help the organization adopt LeSS. About the Trainers
Gene Gendel is an Organizational Design Consultant, Agile/Lean Coach and Trainer. Almost 15 of his 20+ years of his professional experience – Gene had spent working with companies of various sizes and lines of business, trying to help them improve internal dynamics, organizational structure and efficiency. Gene engages at all organizational levels: senior- and mid-level management, teams and individuals. In his work, Gene uses various methods, tools and techniques to strengthen learning by others and to ensure that others gain autonomy after Gene “coaches himself out of the job”.
Jim Schiel has over 33 years of experience in software development, R&D management, leadership, and Agile Development in highly regulated industries as well as government agencies in several countries and has been responsible for the transformation of organizations with more than 100 product development teams. One of the earliest certified trainers with the Scrum Alliance, Jim has taught Scrum to well over 8,000 students in over 700 classes held in more than 25 countries around the world.
